Graduate Engineer Opportunities 2023

CalX Instrumentation Services, part of the Ellab group, is accepting applications for engineering graduate positions for opportunities in Ireland and Denmark in 2023. The successful candidates will undergo complete onsite training in all calibration, validation, and quality procedures until they are competent to fill the requirements of the role unsupervised.

Please note that at present we’re only considering applications from candidates who are currently legally permitted to work in the EU or the UK.

Requirements:

  • Degree level educated, at NFQ Level 7 or higher, in any of the following disciplines: Instrumentation, Process Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electronic or Electrical Engineering or related fields.

OR

  • Currently in the final year of a degree programme at NFQ level 7 or higher in any of the following disciplines: Instrumentation, Process Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electronic or Electrical Engineering or related fields

AND

  • Literacy in computer operating systems and applications such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint etc
  • Possess excellent Communication / Documentation and Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with fellow colleagues and clients to ensure successful results and effective delivery
  • A willingness to develop and build client relationships
  • Full clean driving licence

When fully trained your responsibilities will include:

  • Setup, calibration & troubleshooting of instrumentation associated with process equipment & utility systems as per calibration policy
  • Maintain all documentation in an organised and controlled manner in compliance with GMP and FDA
  • Work with operation teams as required facilitating calibration activities
  • Carry out calibrations in a safe and timely manner
  • Carry out corrective/reactive maintenance on Instrumentation as requested
  • Support continuous improvement and promote quality and customer service
  • Report work carried out in compliance with site-based reporting tools
  • To be available and to undertake any site required training
  • Update “PM” schedule as required
  • Update site system database as required
  • Manage and prioritize workload to ensure that assigned activities are completed effectively and on time
